Plein air is a French expression for
“in the open air”
In this course I will be providing you with all of the information needed to get started painting outdoors.
I am going to show you two different approaches to painting on site. We will also paint on two different surfaces so that you can feel and understand the difference. All of the materials will be supplied so that you can really get a feel for the medium before investing money in your own supplies.
In this course you will also learn what kind equipment and materials to use while painting outdoors. I will also discuss and demonstrate how to choose a subject and compose a scene.
I will demonstrate a quick block-in to capture light and shadow and how to create a tonal value study prior to adding colour. Colour basics will also be discussed.
I have two different dates available for this one day workshop. Both workshops will be the same.
A "Plein Air Painting – Acrylics for Beginners" is also available on the same weekends.
Max. 6 per group
Well, now is the time to make that happen.
