Canadian Landscape Painting ... KEMPTVILLE ... Mondays .... Apr. 29 - May 20, 2019 (7:00pm - 9:00pm)
Acrylic paints will be used to explore the painting techniques used by many of the members of the group of seven. We will start with value studies to prepare for a tonal value under painting. Then using basic colour theory we will establish a palette of colour for our pieces. We will do some practice exercises together to develop the basic painting techniques for this type of painting. Then each participant will be able to paint a landscape of his/her choice. Bring those vacation photos to life!!
Materials are NOT included. Material options are listed below:
Option 1:
If you have your own supplies. You will need to bring all supplies required to paint including at least two canvases (or canvas boards) (1- 16"x20" & 11"x14") It's ok if the are cheep ones because we will be using these for practice purposes. When we paint from the photo you choose you can do this in the size of your choice so an additional canvas will be required for this piece.
Option2:
If you don't have supplies and you are just getting started or you want to see if you even like to paint... don't run out and buy a bunch of supplies! For an additional $25.00 you can use my supplies in the studio including paint, brushes etc. as well as the two practice canvases (1- 16"x20" & 11"x14") . You will still need to purchase an additional canvas for our final piece.
