What's it all about?
Creative "Funsheets" for all ages designed to stimulate
new ways of looking at the world and creativity.
new ways of looking at the world and creativity.
"For what you see and hear depends a good deal on where you are standing: It also depends on what sort of person you are." - C. S. Lewis, The Magician's Nephew.
2020 - A global pandemic - restricted movement – protests to fight for racial equality.
We are living in changing times. We need a new perspective – a new way of looking at the world on a global scale and as a microcosm of our immediate environment.
It is hard to see things from a different perspective if we keep looking from the same point of view.
I have created a series of activities designed to facilitate new perspectives. 14 different worksheets of prompts to help to facilitate seeing your world a little bit differently.
Each worksheet of prompts will have about 5 activities or questions or assignments that will be fairly simple to execute.
All of the activities can be done within walking distance maybe even in your own backyard or even in your own house. Seeing your bedroom from a different perspective and training yourself to be able to see things from a different perspective can help you to see how other peoples lives are different from your own and how other people are affected differently in their daily lives.
Participants can just do the activities to change their perspective and or perception and or they can also extend it a little further and create some piece of art reflecting how they feel inspired. They could document the experience by painting a little picture or they could do a little doodle, write a quick little prose or poem or journal entry, video a etc. The possibilities of expression are endless.
This is for everybody, you don't need to be artistic, you don't need to feel compelled to create something. But for those who would like to share their experience creatively, You can post it in the Facebook group - Microcosms – A New Perspective -Public Art Project Ottawa, Ward 20– you can also join the group.
